Changelog
What we shipped, in plain language. Tadorimichi updates continuously; the milestones that change what you can do land here.
- Latest
Site-wide dictionary search
One box searches words, kanji, and grammar patterns at once — type Japanese, kana, a single kanji, or search in reverse by English/Chinese meaning. Available from the toolbar everywhere.
-
Retention forecast and exam sprint
Added a memory-retention forecast, an exam-sprint mode, and streak states. Set your own target retention, and bulk-mark words you already know so reviews never waste your time.
-
Furigana toggle and data ownership
The article reader now has a one-tap furigana toggle, and accessibility got a full pass. You can export all your account data, and account deletion has a clear confirmation flow.
-
More honest mock-exam pass prediction
Pass prediction now applies sectional minimums (mirroring how JLPT actually scores) and is clearly labeled as unofficial. We would rather be conservative than give false confidence.
-
Word, kanji, and grammar lists fully indexable
The three big list pages are now server-rendered: 12,953 words, 2,682 kanji, and 723 grammar patterns are directly indexable, and shared links preview real content.
-
Japan Travel section launched
80 travel guides (etiquette, transit, seasons, pre-trip prep) plus 543 travel-scene vocabulary words, all trilingual. Japanese is for the trip, not just the test.
-
13 study features in one drop, kanji examples at 100%
Listening mock, typing drills, a mistake notebook, personal notes, sentence breakdown, weekly reports, TTS speed control, and more — 13 features shipped together. Every one of the 2,682 kanji now has a contextual example sentence.
-
Full audio coverage across the site
Wired up the VOICEVOX speech engine with 39,000+ pre-generated audio clips. Every word, example sentence, and article read-aloud now has natural Japanese pronunciation with correct pitch accent.
-
Achievement system
26 achievements across seven paths — vocabulary, kanji, grammar, reading, mock exams, streaks, and a comeback path for when life gets in the way. The road remembers how far you have walked.
-
Full timed mock exam, N5 content complete
The mock exam gained a full timed mode: 50 questions on the clock, with a pass prediction and per-question review at the end. Also added 17 N5 articles and the missing N4 kanji — all five levels now fully covered.
