Tadorimichi is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Japan Foundation or the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services, the organizations that administer the JLPT.

No guarantee of passing

The JLPT is a third-party exam. We cannot guarantee that using Tadorimichi will result in passing any level. Our content is based on publicly available resources and community-verified exam patterns; actual exam content is set by the JLPT organizations.

Dictionary accuracy

Our core 8,047-word vocabulary and 2,682-character kanji databases are originally compiled by Tadorimichi, with translations, learner notes, examples, and metadata generated by Claude (Anthropic) and reviewed for quality. For long-tail words outside the core set, we fall back to JMdict and KANJIDIC2 (EDRDG, CC BY-SA 4.0), which are community-maintained — see our Attribution page for details. Errors and omissions may still occur in either source; verify critical information against authoritative references.

AI-generated content

Some features (AI tutor, essay grading, generated articles, vocabulary enrichment) use large language models. Output may contain errors, hallucinations, or culturally inappropriate content. Always verify important information with authoritative sources (native speakers, textbooks, official references).
